  • Food Preparation Cook

    We are looking for a dedicated Food Preparation Cook with experience in plant-based cooking to join our kitchen team. This role involves preparing fresh ingredients, following plant-based recipes, supporting production for market + retail sales, and ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced environment. Baking experience is a strong asset.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Assist with food prep, including chopping vegetables, making sauces, and portioning ingredients

    • Follow recipes and kitchen procedures to ensure consistency and quality

    • Prepare products for farmers markets and retail/wholesale production

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace

    • Handle plant-based proteins, grains, and dairy alternatives with care

    • Support meal preparation and occasional food truck or event operations (if required)

    • Participate in inventory management and proper food storage

    • Adhere to all food safety and kitchen regulations

  • Qualifications:

    • Experience in food preparation, preferably in a plant-based or vegetarian/vegan setting

    • Baking experience is a preferred asset (basic to intermediate ability)

    • Familiarity with plant-based ingredients, cooking techniques, and alternative proteins

    • Strong knife skills and knowledge of kitchen safety

    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

    • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

    • Safe Food Handling certification required
